Position Title: Design Engineer (Structural)--India
Position Summary: This position determines appropriate design parameters and performs the structural design of new towers for proposals. Creates documents necessary for proposal presentation and internal records.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
oDetermines wind, ice and seismic parameters for each tower site in accordance with TIA-222 standards and state/local building code requirements.
oDesigns new monopole, self-supporting and guyed towers for proposals.
oCreates tower profile drawings for proposal presentation, and engineering output documents for internal records.
oApplies structural engineering principles to the design of steel structures, in accordance with TIA-222 standards and American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC).
oConsults with Professional Engineers in the US when questions arise.
oPerforms other duties as needed or assigned
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering is preferred
Experience: 0-3 years of Structural Engineering
Skills & Abilities:
oCandidate must have the ability and desire to learn all of the technical details of industry standards, and apply them to engineering procedures in order to design safe and efficient structures.
oMust have professional and effective English communication skills for verbal and written correspondence.
oTeam player, self-starter, results-oriented and organized with a strong attention to detail; able to multi-task and complete tasks within a timely manner
oMust have proficient working knowledge of all Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel.
oRegular and timely attendance is required

oThis is an office position requiring the use of office equipment such as a computer, copier, phone, etc. most of the day.
